Looking for an interesting place to visit? Discover the Barrhead Centennial Museum!

Step back in time and explore the rich history of Barrhead and life on the farm. Our museum features a fascinating collection of agricultural equipment, including binders, threshing machines, breaking plows, and vintage haying tools.

Wander through our authentic farmhouse and see what daily life looked like in the early days. Then, continue your journey through time as you visit our recreated law office, general store, and one-room schoolhouse.

Activities:

We will be providing information about our local history. Our museum also gives plentiful information about water conservation and will be hosting spinners, weavers and have a rope making demonstration. Also enjoy finding our mystery item for the bingo activity!

You’ll also find captivating displays of local wildlife, insects, and birds, offering a glimpse into the natural world of the region.

Our self-guided tour takes you from the prehistoric era through Indigenous and trapper history, into the arrival of European settlers and the story of the Klondike Trail. Hear the stories of the people who helped shape the community—preserved and shared within our museum walls.
