Welcome to Gathered and Grown Family Farm. We are the Bergeron family and are so excited you popped by our profile. The dream for our farm has grown over the past several years. We always knew we would end up on a small farm but as our family grew so did our dream for our farm. I (Suzanne) am an elementary school teacher by training and throughout my time in the classroom I saw again and again that something was missing for most of my students. As our own children grew I finally realized what my students were missing was the opportunity to connect with nature. When we paired this realization with my passion for producing sustainable and ethical food it became very clear what our farm needed to become.
Families on the Farm is a program where families can come to connect with the land, their food, and each other. Our play features have been intentionally designed to invite young people to engage with their environment through play. Our welcoming mud kitchen, water wall, and music wall will keep your children engaged for hours. As much as it makes our hearts happy to have kids playing outside our mission is to empower people to “Grow Local”. Our view of Grow Local is, encouraging people to try their hand at growing, supporting local growers, supporting local businesses, and growing a strong local community. We would be pleased to have you come and grow with us!
To assist us in our mission of growing local our farm is home to a market garden, greenhouse, flock of lay chickens, pigs, ducks, cows and beehives. We also carry many products from other local producers.
There is no admission charge for Families on the Farm during open farm days but we will be offering paid experiences. Guests can choose to transplant a plant, collect and clean their own eggs, or get suited up to get up front and personal with a bee hive.
We look forward to your visit!
