Medicine HatOur interactive farm tours consist of opportunities to feed goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, pigs and horses. Whilst on a farm tour visitors will have the opportunity to safely interact with all of our farm animals. All of our animals are kept safe and secure in pens and holding areas. There will be guided instruction on how to feed and see if we interact with each farm animal. We will supply all of the feed for the animals. Please bring water, sunscreen and appropriate clothing for the day.
Leisure Way Mini Farm is a small interactive hobby farm that provides opportunities for its visitors to Interact with and learn about each farm animal we have. We are located in a scenic valley within a cluster of other acreages. We make sure our visitors leave with a better understanding of how a farm works, operates and accomplishes the goal of creating food for our community. We first opened our doors in 1996 as Leisure Way Community Group Home Inc. Over the years we have developed a supportive living care facility that focusses on creating small home like environments. Five years ago Karen Roche had the idea of creating a interactive mini farm for our residents to enjoy and actively participate in. Over the years we have continued to invite members of our community to step into the immersive world of permaculture farming and actively participate in caring for and nurturing that which sustains us. Our food.
