A paint night will be held on Saturday, August 14 from 5:30-9:00 pm overlooking the Blindman Valley. The meal will include a full, 5-course dinner with ingredients being sourced from within 1 mile. The menu includes: bruschetta on sourdough baguette, Hungarian chilled cherry soup, mixed green salad, bison steak bites with cherry barbecue sauce, chicken bites with pear relish, and a choice of 3 desserts: haskap scone tarts, raspberry sandwich cookies, English cherry possets. All courses will be served while the paint night proceeds. Local artist, Dawn Derrien from Boho Apothecary, will be leading a very unique painting experience. In keeping with the theme of local and farm fresh, she will be featuring egg tempera paints reminiscent of Michelangelo’s Renaissance paintings. Cost is $125/person and can be e-transferred to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to Little Cherries on the Prairie, RR1 #40306, Bentley, AB, T0C0J0. Products will be available for purchase the night of the event: locally milled flour, cookie mixes, jams, sauces, sourdough bread, and possibly honey.
