10:00 am – 4:00 pm Come to the market and meet our local farmers and artisans and hear about their passion for growing food. You’ll find a wide selection of farm vendors, demonstrations & tours, plus children’s activities, This year we have a line-up of local experts leading tours and demonstrations so you can go home with a new skill; from mushroom foraging to building a cold frame, managing a woodlot, and nature photography. 3:00PM take a market walk with Chef Mel Chmilar to meet the vendors. Free admission.
5:30-8:30PM. Indulge in a mouth-watering 4-course meal made from local ingredients, prepared by award winning grill-master Mel Chmilar. Finish the day immersed in Martin Kerr’s songs and stories. Dinner tickets for sale on Eventbrite or http://www.pegggarden.org/
The Rural Roots Farmer Showcase Committee is a passionate group of agriculture producers and like-minded individuals who are dedicated to connecting people with Alberta’s roots and vast selection of farm fresh food available in our community. By forming a connection with our producers, we hope that people will be encouraged to explore the region and buy locally.

Tour the 1930s log home and outbuildings, learn about George Pegg’s important botanical work, find the perfect backdrop for family photos. Free admission.
