ALCLA Native Plants is a native plant nursery founded in 1992 and operating in Carstairs since 2023. We offer genetically diverse, sustainably sourced native plants and seeds—featuring over 200 species of wildflowers, grasses, and shrubs native to Alberta, on Treaty 7 Territory. We also provide custom growing and educational services.

Native plants are climate-adapted, drought-tolerant once established, and essential for supporting pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. They’re also stunningly beautiful—and many have edible and medicinal properties.

All of our plants and seeds are free of chemical pesticides.
