Come on in and meet our amazing KuneKune pigs. These guys are friendly, safe and delicious 350 Farms is known for our our KuneKune pastured pork which takes "Pork, the other red meat" to the next level. Our pork is juicy, tender and so easy to cook. Giving a deeply earthy flavour that compliments many dishes, our pork is some of the best out there. Update from 350 Farms for Farm Visits August 19th. Due to an unprecedented 6 inches of rain over the past week in areas of our farm including up to 10am today - literally its been raining for days on end, parts of our beloved 350 Farms are looking a bit more like a water park than pastured pork paradise. Specifically, our parking area has turned into a spongy marshland, and some roads are more like mini ponds for the frogs right now. For the safety of our valued guests, the potential of slipping, falling, or even getting a vehicle stuck in the mud is just too high today. We're also keenly aware of our regenerative agriculture commitments, and we want to ensure minimal impact on the environment. But don't fret! While today's Open Farm Day adventure is on pause, we're gearing up for a BIG day tomorrow from 10am to 4pm. An extra bonus? A special morning surprise for our early bird visitors. 🌞 Stay tuned! And if you had your heart set on our mouth-watering pastured pork, worry not! We're offering farm gate pickups. Plus, any pork purchase this weekend enters you for a chance to win a 2-night stay in our brand-new 4-season geo dome, complete with a private Nordic spa experience. 🏕️✨ While pasture tours are free - the food to feed the pigs does have a small cost. You'll be able to talk to your farmers, learn how our pastured poultry is produced and check for eggs in the hen house. Open toed shows/sandals are not recommended for pasture tours. Explore our 5kms of trails and tour a glamping site 350 Farms is unique in that we run an Our Farm program which offers different levels of membership. Members have many benefit including dinners, members only says, discounts and all access to the farm during opening hours(according to published calendar). 350 Farms is also available as a venue for celebrations of all types - inquire when you visit! You'll get to see what glamping has to offer and kids under 10 can go for pony rides (paid activity) Food Concessions of hot dogs, hamburgers and chili will be served( paid activity) Beverages available include ice cold water, pop and lemonade Picnic tables are provided for lunch or you can set up for a picnic in the pastures. h p p s Come visit our farm, and view how how small family farms used to be run. Lots of old school practices, and a wide variety of animals, all raised right to plate. Our farm was established in the late 1800s, and still has a lot of the original buildings and machinery. We raise and butcher outdoor raised chicken every summer (2 batches) and also raise outdoor raised pigs, which we mostly turn into sausage. We also have a small herd of speckle park cows, which we raise our own calves to market weight, and butcher them and sell as 1/4s and halves. We also have layers which we sell the eggs in our store. We also import maple syrup from Ontario and Quebec, and honey from northern Alberta. Our neighbors also roast coffee which we sell in our little store. We are known for our fresh, high quality food, and our fun farm animals. We have been married 14 years, and have 3 awesome kids ~ 2 girls and a boy

We are first generation farmers excited to have changed our lives only three short years ago. We left the city and set out to learn a different way. We moved out of the city with our 4 youngest children and began learning. We’ve learned about regenerative agriculture, soil health and raising our own meat. We started our market garden last year, with a farmers market and veggie boxes. We have expanded our market garden this year as well as our garlic production. We are excited to be a part of the very program that opened our eyes to this possibility!

Aurora Alpacas is a family owned alpaca ranch located in Sturgeon County 10 minutes north of St. Albert. We are fairly new to the industry, having purchased our 1st two alpacas in 2017. Since then we have produced Supreme and Color Champions, which we are extremely proud of. Currently we have 24 alpacas with 5 cria (babies) expected this summer. If you are curious about alpacas, the amazing fiber products and how they are produced, come visit us to learn and experience this unique livestock first hand. Learn to love alpacas like we have: • Get a chance to ask questions, gain 1st-hand knowledge about what makes alpacas so unique, and watch them in the pasture and up close. • Get a chance to handle fiber shorn from the alpaca this past spring, and samples from the various stages of processing fiber into yarn. • Watch a fiber spinning demonstration. - Sunnyhill Alpacas will be on site giving you the opportunity to see and purchase yarn which is made on their farm. They will also have various products made from alpaca yarn and rovings, and everyone's favorite Alpaca Teddy Bears. Sunnyhill Alpacas are celebrating their 25th year in business and also own Twisted Sisters & Company Fiber Mill.

g v Broxburn Vegetables & Cafe is known for our strawberry u-pick, our pesticide and insecticide free vegetables, and our farm-to-table cafe. All of our vegetables are harvested when ripe, which allows them to have the best possible flavor. A unique feature about Broxburn Vegetables & Cafe is that all the meals served in our cafe showcase vegetables that are grown and harvested only a few hundred yards away from where you will be eating! Our motto is "From Plant to Plate." It truly does not get much fresher than that. Visitors will leave our farm with the knowledge of how we grow our vegetables in our greenhouse, why we do not use chemicals, and why we harvest our vegetables when ripe, as opposed to pre-ripened. Visitors who go on the hay ride will be able to see multiple crops growing around our farm. Our host and farmer, Paul, bought our farm in 1994 and has been providing Alberta with fresh vegetables ever since! Paul pours his heart into his farm, and loves teaching others where their food comes from.

We are a family run dairy farm in Bentley, Alberta. We have a very innovative farm including robotic milking (the cows milk voluntarily throughout the day), robotic feeding (an automated feeding unit delivers feed 24/7 to the cows), and robotic manure cleaning (basically a Roomba for the cows that collect the manure throughout the day). You will be toured around the dairy barn showing you how the cows milk, eat and sleep.

This Indigenous prairie experience involves an up-close feeding encounter with the Salers breed of cattle, known for their similarities to the roaming buffalo of days gone by. Then your host, First Nation author, farmer, and rancher, Victor Lethbridge will accompany you to the prairie hills of the Bow River to see and experience Indigenous artifacts such as tipi rings and a grinding stone.
Indigenous Prairie Cattle Experience
- Tour is Free: There are two timeslots starting at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. (each tour is approx. 90 minutes)
- Guests will drive themselves lead by your host, First Nation author, farmer, and rancher, Victor Lethbridge. He will accompany you to the prairie hills of the Bow River.
- This 90-minute Indigenous prairie experience involves an up-close feeding encounter with the Salers breed of cattle, known for their similarities to the roaming buffalo of days gone by.
- The tour starts in the hamlet of Rolling Hills, at the restaurant of Pivot Spirits, which is across the street from the cattle corrals. Take highway 875 south of the TransCanada and right at the T to Pivot Restaurant). Following a brief visit with the coral cattle is a 12-minute drive as participants, in their own vehicles, follow Victor to the river pasture. There they will view the tipi rings and grinding stone and share in the tranquility of what our Indigenous people experienced for centuries.
- D Bar V Farms raises award-winning pure-bred Salers cattle and provides workshops enhancing Indigenous awareness and leadership development, especially for youth. Where buffalo/bison once roamed, is now grazed by D Bar V Farms’ herd of Salers cattle, a breed having similar attributes to that of the buffalo with their dark hard hoofs, thick hair, calving ease, and climate hardiness.
- Tour Details:
- Start with cow/calf pair feeding at corral location at the farm.
- Drive to the Tatanka Hills at the Bow River prairie pasture.
- View Indigenous artefacts at the Tatanka Hills with a scenic view of the Bow River.
- View a purebred herd of Salers cattle as they graze where buffalo once roamed.
- Individual: If desired, purchase a $20 each for an award-winning story book by your host author Victor Lethbridge.
- We’ll supply a bottled water at the river.

To celebrate, Dreamcatcher™ wanted to end our Open Farm Days Event with a 20th Anniversary Time Capsule Moment! All you need to do is bring something to put into the capsule to be buried in our back 40, more details will be provided at the event.
Costs:
Please note, our admission to the event and tours are free of charge, however, some of our activities or demonstrations may include a fee. We will also have a market booth with items for sale such as merchandise, snacks, drinks, animal treats and possibly other items. We accept cash and e-transfer, and we have a square reader onsite. We do not have any ATM's on-site so please come prepared.
What to Bring:
We strongly recommend all guests to bring sunscreen, bug spray, clothing for all weather conditions as this is an outdoor event and some activities will be outside regardless of rain. While rubber boots are not required, it is strongly encouraged as it can get muddy if it has rained recently. We have limited rubber boots on-site that guests can rent, however, this will be first-come, first-serve basis, and we can't guarantee that we have your size available. We also have a limited number of yoga mats for rent as well, please bring your own as these will be first-come, first-serve basis as well.
SAFETY & RULES (Please Read!)
- For the safety of the public, our staff/volunteers, you and your pet, and our animals; emotional support, therapy animals, and pets are not permitted.
- We ask that our guests do not bring any animal treats inside of the animal pens as this is for your safety. We suggest purchasing animal treats AFTER your tour where you can safely hand feed them over the fence, they will like that much better!
- Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes if you plan to go into our animal pens.
- Please be respectful to other guests, staff, volunteers, and animals.
- Our animals get scared, we please ask our guests to refrain from running, yelling, and screaming while inside the animal pens
- Fences, hay/straw bales, and goat structures look like a lot of fun to climb, but for your safety, please do not climb onto these as they may not be secured to anything.
- All guests will be asked to sign waivers prior to interacting with our animals

Visiting our farm is really a trip back to a simpler time. Our produce is planted, weeded and harvested by hand with the help of local workers and the result is strong, great-tasting vegetables that might surprise you with their fresh-from-the-earth flavour. Alberta is famous for its root crops and that’s what we specialize in – garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots and a few other seasonal favourites like tomatoes and peppers.

Families on the Farm is a weekly event that provides families an opportunity to connect with nature, their food and each other. To learn more about the program you can visit our website: HERE
We are excited to add some special features to our program for Open Farm Days. We will have a face painter, opportunities to feed the animals, a chance to suit up and head out to the bees, as well as a chance to bring home some honey you extract yourself! Our ice cream bike will be out and full of frozen treats. We will also have our campfire going and all you need to enjoy a hot dog roast with your family. Over the years we both gravitated towards a more natural way of growing food and became involved in the Regenerative Farming movement. A few years after we got married we started our own farm and thus Good Food Farm was born. We raise Pigs, laying hens, broilers and turkeys as well as beef cattle all on pasture in the summertime. We sell pork, beef, chicken, turkey and eggs off the farm as well as through bi-weekly deliveries to Grande Priaire and Sexsmith.

This public event will highlight some of the amazing local food, and artisan products grown and created in the region, as well as provide an opportunity to connect with local agriculture and rural community. o Located on two and a half city blocks of land, we are a mix of Western Frontier Pioneer Village and Community Gardens. Our layout allows for community members who wouldn't have a chance to grow their own food to use our space, to do just that. Lining our boardwalks and interspaced throughout our Village are fruit trees. We use this fruit to make crisps, jams and jellies in our commercial kitchen right here on the grounds! The product is then sold in our Cafe and Country Store.
Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village is a Western Frontier Heritage Museum located in down town Pincher Creek. We have 31 buildings teeming with artifacts. During the summer we also operate the Garden Cafe. Its menu is full of items locally sourced from this area – from the burger to the vegetables to the fruit and ice cream. We are a great spot, to stretch your legs, take in the Community Gardens and see how an orchard can be done differently!

p s In 1993, as a young couple we flew from The Netherlands to Alberta to start a farm. We started milking in August of 1993 with 60 cows. Fast forward 30 years, we are milking 300 cows on our family farm! Our farm contains of sheep/lambs, dogs, cats, goats, Sottish Highlanders, pot belly pig, geese, and chickens. We also have plenty of friendly baby calves that can be bottle fed by guests. There will be a tour of the operation, and educate with hands on activities. We also have a sunflower patch, pumpkin patch, and sweet corn. This will be our third summer doing the patches, and it is our biggest year yet.

These curly haired pigs are cold hardy, disease resistant, and known for their quiet friendly disposition. Above all, mangalica pigs are known for high quality meat. They are a Hungarian lard breed that has been around for generations. Alena and her dad visited a guest ranch in Hungary when she was 16 and has been advocating for them ever since. As a pure bred mangalica takes 2 years to finish into world class pork, and the fact that we don't want to sell meat that no one can afford, we chose to cross our mangalica boar (Red) with some good old healthy barnyard sows. This year we sent our mangalica sow (Sissy) to a pure bred Berkshire boar. So hoping this will make a nice cross and some beautiful pork as both are proven to produce exceptional meat.

Built in 1958, the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator was in operation until 1995 (when it was due for demolition). It is now being maintained as a Historically Designated Museum. It is the last remaining wooden Grain Elevator on the CN Rail line west of Edmonton.- You will get a step by step small group tour of the elevator. The Venue of New Hope

o v w Our Venue showcases the old country charm of our barn turned into a café/coffee shop. We are starting Vermacompost which uses red wiggler worms to turn organic waste into new soil for our greenhouses. The greenhouse then grows the food for the cafe and it’s waste returns to the worms to continue the cycle. It’s our first year in production but by next year it will be doubled in size. Our venue is being used for weddings and events, and houses old antiques we gathered from our farm over time. Our Venue has been in the works for 20 years. It is going to be a place for kids with autism to explore their strengths and gain confidence to enter the work force. The growing of worms for compost is a passion and the greenhouses helps us to put our worms hard work to use growing food for café to serve to our customers. Customers can leave with a small bag of red wiggles and instructions to start their own worm farm from their own kitchen scraps.

Rennie and Paulette started Wild Country Gardens in 2007 and have been growing their orchard and gardens every year. They take pride in taking the extra steps by taking their products right to market! Moto is to: Grow, Harvest and Produce Local Made Products. The orchard consists of over 2800 fruit trees and bushes, all planted by us over the last 14 years. The Gardens feature approximately 3000 heads of garlics (German Red, Cream De La Rosa and Persian Star) and a large variety of vegetables and herbs that we use for making our products.
New this year: Wild Country Gardens has been approved as a Made In Alberta Program Member which is very exciting and opens many doors for future business. We have added a second extra-large Freeze Drier that we use to process our vegetables, fruits, herbs and yes we make some sweet snacks, all for sale. Several of the local stores carry a full line of our products, plus we also ship and have been known to deliver to Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Stoney Plain. - Trail to Remembering – A wagon ride on the Forget Me Not Trail to one of our Four Groves. A place for Quiet, peaceful, sanctuary, a place to remember. Adults and children ages 10 and up $5.00/person. The wagon leaves at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 and this takes about an hour.
- Bring your cooler and cash to purchase home grown, chemical free, fresh frozen raspberries, and saskatoon. $5.00 and $10.00 packages. Buy: fresh flower bouquets – $10.00 and $20.00 each Fresh raspberries, zucchini, and whatever else is ripe at this time – $5.00

m r w The Orr family farm-Windy Rafters Barn, has been home to six generations of Orrs since it was homesteaded in 1905. Four of which are still on the farm. We love to share the farm history through stories, tours and hands-on experiences such as fake cow milking, rope making, lassoing, kids wagon train rides, pony rides, hay wagon rides and much more. Activities will consist of: – Blacksmith demonstration – Hands-on (fake cow) milking experience – Orr’s Homestead Cabin replica & Historic Orton School tour – Rifle elastic target shoot – Farm Zoo – Stick calf-roping – Horseshoes – History Related Hay Wagon ride – Possible Harvesting Combine ride (Season dependent) – Concession- BBQ on a bun 12:00 pm– 1:00 pm -$10

We will have a farm tour with a beautiful team of heavy horses pulling a hay wagon, sit on the straw bales and learn about our family farm and our passion. We will have an artisan market which will be selling produce, brewery, axe throwing, spice/oils and big heavy equipment. A Passion for Traditional Beef Your Local Ranch Ltd is family owned and operated. Our beef is raised naturally with no added hormones. We have chosen to age the beef for 21 days for maximum flavor and tenderness. We have decided to cut the beef in a traditional method which leaves the door open for culinary expression with each cut of meat. Superior product is enhanced by the care and detail we show our animals. Your Local Ranch has several convenient beef packages available. You can pick which one is best for your family. Step #1: Choose Your Host Farms
Visit the host farms page to start adding locations to your trip. Click the green “Add to Trip” button on each farm you want to visit.
Step #2: Review Your Trip
Once you have added all of your farms, click the blue Plan My Trip button to review all of the locations you have chosen.
Step #3: Getting Directions
Once you are happy with your chosen destinations, click the blue “Get Directions” button to generate a Google Map with all of your locations pre-filled and ready to go! Within Google Maps, you can configure or re-order your trip as you like.
You can also enter your location into the “Starting Address” field to get directions starting at that address. Leave this field blank, and Google Maps will use your current location as the starting point.
