Farm Fresh Eggs (ombre coloured and white or brown); produce; herbs; sourdough baked goods and animal and horse programming (including year round and spring/summer camps) are all offered at our farm. We built our farm in the pursuit of a balanced living approach. We operate a regenerative agriculture farm whereby we intermix species of animals and produce to foster positive growth and balance in the land and ecosystem at the farm. The opportunities for you, your friends, or your family are endless amongst our herds and farm. Giggle with the goats; cuddle with our cows; groom (or book a 15 minute ponied ride) amongst our horse herd; check out some chickens; picnic in our parks; hike to the highest hay bale; gather and play some games; relax and watch some equestrian riders; or wander amongst local farm offerings. Make our farm your place for rest, relaxation or rejuvenation in whatever form suits you best.

When you drive up to our farm you will see the many acres of vegetables that we grow in the soil here at 2BK Vegetable Farms! Our farm is free for tours and we will show you around the process in which we seed, transplant, harvest and process vegetables in preparation for the shelves in our farm store, you can experience first hand what a fully operational vegetable farm is all about. Our farm store will be open and you can explore our shelves of fresh produce and other locally produced goodies! 2BK Vegetable Farm is a next generation vegetable farm! Our roots run deep as our founders come from a long history of farmers, the Bokenfors & Brenneis families. The Bokenfor's have grown and produced many acres of grain on the very soil 2BK operates, while the Brenneis family mastered vegetable growing as they operated Brenneis Market Gardens in NE Edmonton for many years. We can't wait to share how our small idea has blossomed into more than just vegetable production but a hub of the community where generations gather and share in community.

You'll be able to talk to your farmers, learn how our pastured poultry is produced and check for eggs in the hen house. Explore our 5kms of trails and tour a glamping site 350 Farms is known for our our KuneKune pastured pork which takes "Pork, the other red meat" to the next level. Our pork is juicy, tender and so easy to cook. Giving a deeply earthy flavor that compliments many dishes, our pork is some of the best out there. 350 Farms is unique in that we run an Our Farm program which offers different levels of membership. Members have many benefit including dinners, members only says, discounts and all access to the farm during opening hours(according to published calendar). 350 Farms is available as a venue for celebrations of all types. You'll get to see what glamping has to offer and kids under 10 can go for pony rides (paid activity) Concessions of hot dogs, hamburgers and chili will be served( paid activity) Beverages available include ice cold water, pop and lemonade Picnic tables are provided for lunch or you can set up for a picnic in the pastures. While pasture tours are free - the food to feed the pigs does have a small cost.

Alberta Hemp Works is hosting a Farmer's Market at "The Mill" just 5 minutes from the town of Barrhead. You'll Find: - Local vendors showcasing their food and crafts (produce, eggs, honey, meat, baked good, jewellery, art, woodwork, etc.) - Industrial hemp information and demonstrations - Live music - BBQ Lunch provided by Droptine Custom Meats We're excited to meet you! ARAS (Ardrossan Recreation & Agricultural Society) will pay tribute to the local farms in our area on Tuesday August 9th, 2022 during our Farmers Market. As part of the celebration, we will encourage patrons to attend Open Farm Days in our area. We will have educational/interactive farm displays, chicken bingo, and kids activities (including a coloring competition).

Bay Tree Market on 49 is a lovely little rural market serving the Peace Country.

We are hosting an open house style event. Come out for an opportunity to see and experience a working farm. In our farm yard you will be able to see Laying hens, Broiler chickens, pigs and cattle. We will also offer hourly wagon rides out to the pasture to see sheep and cattle grazing. We are a small family farm. Our focus is growing grass and using our animals to harvest it. We primarily raise grass fed and finished beef and lamb. We also have chickens for eggs as well as chickens we raise and butcher ourselves. We truly love producing food and the farming way of life and we would love to share our knowledge and experience with anyone wanting to learn more about where your food comes from.

My Grandfather bought the farm in 1958. we started off as a mixed farm. We had dairy, hogs and grain. in the early 70's the dairy was sold and we concentrated on hogs, running a farrow to finish operation until 2013. Since then we have been custom feeding finishing hogs as well as expanding the bison herd. Bison in 1997 and it has been growing since. Last year we built a commercial kitchen and a small storefront to sell bison meat rather than selling live animals. We hope to educate the consumers on the connection between the land and the food in the grocery stores, and put a face to the source of the food, as well the the life cycle of bison, what they eat, what their characters

We are a family run dairy farm in Bentley, Alberta. We have a very innovative farm including robotic milking (the cows milk voluntarily throughout the day), robotic feeding (a automated feeding unit delivers feed 24/7 to the cows), and robotic manure cleaning (basically a Roomba for the cows that collect the manure throughout the day). We are excited to share our little piece of paradise with you on Open Farm Days (Sunday only). There is nothing finer than looking over the wheat field and learning how that is the beginning of the bread you eat. We will demonstrate how those stalks of wheat hold the kernels of grain that we will grind and turn in to flower. Then we will show you how to create a pie. Pie kits are available for purchase. And for a nominal charge children can paint a cookie. You will also want to take a tour of the BarOA Flower farm and ask our flower farmer, Bryanna any questions you may have about planting your own flower garden. All those stems and leaves can become compost and our wiggly red worms do all the composting. Check out how you can have your own compost worms working for you at your home. We've got our friends stopping by to sing a few tunes, do some plein air painting and showcasing their antique tractors. Oh, and if you have never tried playing Bones, you can learn about the game and challenge other farm visitors to a game. Bring your own picnic to enjoy while you listen to the music or better yet purchase advance tickets for our VIP Picnic Alfresco. If you do purchase those tickets you will do a self driving tour to some of the producers that will be growing the food that you will enjoy later at the farm. Served long table style you will enjoy a meal prepared for you and also meet and hear from some of our other local producers. A day of exploring our local countryside and an evening of enjoying local cuisine and conversation. If the weather is a bit uncooperative we will move our VIP PIcnic into the barn. Christy Creek Honey is known for their wildflower honey and their signature Bee Sweet Stir Stick Lollipop. We are a small​,​ family-run business in the heart of NE Alberta summer blooms. We are situated on a second generation family farm. Rob's family had bees on the farm while he was growing up. As an adult, he enjoys it as a hobby. Rob is an elementary school administrator and Joanne is a children's library programmer. When we aren't at our other jobs, we offer personalized hive tours (June – mid - August) for small groups. We are super excited to be a part of this years 10th year Alberta Open Farm Days anniversary! We were encouraged to consider opening our apiary to visitors on Open Farm Days 4 years ago! We had so much fun that it is our now our small business! Please join in celebrating this fun day wherever you are!"

Get Lost in 9 acre corn maze, lots of outdoor family games, like duck races, hockey checkers, Gem mining, soccer snooker, connect 4 and many more activities. In our store we have Saskatoon Pies for sale, ice cream, Saskatoon slushies, mini donuts, honey, freshly ground whole wheat flour, Rye flour, and waffle and pancake mix made from our home grown wheat. The Joosed Moose Winery onsite making fruit wines, Meads, and ciders. We are also hosting other local farms and food trucks this year. We are growing our cottage winery the joosed moose winery with our home grown fruit. We have the biggest corn maze in our part of the province with lots of family activities to go along with it. We are also 3rd generation grain farmers with our own ground wheat, and Rye flours and pancake and waffle mix. Our fruit orchard is growing with the addition of 12000 strawberry plants, Saskatoons, raspberries, haskaps, apples, cherries, we may eventually turn into a you pick but for now its for the winery. We have our own honey bees with our own production for our meads and some we sell at our store. We also have our own bee observation hive in our store to learn more about honey bees.

Join us for an opportunity to learn how the wool from sheep (and alpacas, llamas, and goats) is processed from raw fibre to finished consumer products. Tour through our mill and see the industrial revolution era machinery up close, visit with people who run the equipment every day, shop our little on site farm store, try your hand at a wool craft perfect for all ages, and meet our mill sheep flock and their protector, Rubin the Llama. We're known for making heritage style hand-crafting yarns, wool-filled bedding, and machine knit socks. Like a working museum, we do all of our processing on equipment form the late 1800's and early 1900's. Visitors have to opportunity to learn how natural fibre textiles, like wool, are created right from step one of raising sheep on the farm, through sorting, washing, carding, spinning, knitting, and preparing their wool for sale.

Brighten your day with a visit to D&A Gardens, one of central Alberta’s hidden gems! Dave and Arden Delidais, the D and the A in D&A Gardens have been fruit farming for over 40 years. D&A Gardens grows 19 varieties of saskatoons and we are the oldest commercial growers of saskatoons in the WORLD. Our Roots Delidais Estate Winery hosts a wide variety of wines and spirits made with our very own fruits. Come and learn about where we come from and get to know our roots A trip to D&A Gardens will leave you feeling "berry" smart!

Koen and Inge moved from Belgium to Canada in 1998 together with their 3 children. The past 24 years they have worked towards setting up a beautiful garden center where you can easily spend a few hours. Enjoying all the greenery and beautiful colors, while enjoying a cup of great coffee and a delicious sweet from Elieneke's bake shop - the owner is their daughter who is a red seal baker.

Tour of the 104 year old Bassano Dam, the headworks for the Eastern Irrigation District. Tour includes some history of the area & EID and overview of District operations.

The farm has been in the Ehrenholz family for 70 years. In recent years, we have have refocused to produce local food, specifically beef and vegetables, which we have been selling in the local area for the past few years. Agricultural education for the public is very important to us, and we like learning new things, too, so we are always excited to share what we have been learning about our land and the things that grow here with others. We aim to give you a glimpse of a working farm, while also educating you and your children in a fun and interactive way, through tours, workshops, demonstrations, and games. We also want to make some of the local products available to you through a small farmer's market featuring frozen beef, canned goods, and local crafts. Your hosts will be Valerie Ehrenholz, the current owner of Ehrenholz Farms, her parents, Ewald and Janet, and sister Janna. Ewald and Janet ran the farm for many years and are still very involved in the day-to-day activities, while also enjoying retirement. Janna has had many adventures away from the farm, but is returning for the summer to work on the farm and interact with all of our visitors.

Fallentimber Meadery is well known for our sociable session style meads like Meadjito. Made with the highest quality of honey and ingredients, all of our beverages are held to the highest standards. Joining us for a tasting will give you a great perspective on mead in general, and the diversity that it holds. Couple that with a tour and you will leave with lots of knowledge around bees, honey production, and fermentation.

Open farm days on our ranch is an opportunity to open our gates to visitors to share about our cattle husbandry, grass fed beef production, and regenerative farming practices. We are passionate about connecting folks to their food and collaborating with other fellow farmers. When visitors come to our ranch they can expect walks to the pasture, grazing demonstrations, up close experiences with our cattle, beef tasting and an opportunity to purchase our beef to take home. Pack a lunch and enjoy time with family in our picnic area, lots of space to spend the morning exploring and learning. Additional experiences you may discover are other farm animals chickens, ducks, donkeys, cats/kittens and dogs.

We welcome you out the farm for scheduled tours of both our Garlic Farm Operation and working Blacksmithing Studio. Picnic Garlic themed charcuterie boxes will be available for pre-purchase and can be enjoyed in our picnic area. You will enjoy a gorgeous vista of the Foothills and Rocky Mountains. Our Farm Store will be open for you to sample and pick up some our most loved garlic products such as our Award Winning Black Garlic, Garlic Scape Pesto and Compound Butters. No Dogs Allowed. We are best know for our renowned organic, heirloom, gourmet hardneck garlic. Our Black Garlic won the Made in Alberta Awards in 2019 in the Food Category. Our various garlic products can be found throughout Alberta in both specialty grocers and local restaurants. We are excited to show visitors our garlic pasture and tell them about how we have successfully been growing amazing garlic in Southern Alberta for over seven years. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of homesteading classes that include, Blacksmithing, How to Grow Garlic, Garlic Braiding, Wild Foraging Tours, etc. Our Blacksmithing Studio is home to Stone Wood & Steel, a master Blacksmith that has been creating metal artistry for over 25 years! Throughout the year, we host a series of Blacksmithing Classes such as Introduction to Blacksmithing, Knife Making, Building an Axe, and more. Visitors will have the opportunity to see inside the Blacksmithing Studio and see the forge and anvil in action. This is a highlight of our tour.

We are offering a fun afternoon with free Children's crafts for all ages as well as an outdoor market featuring Alberta based vendors. Feel free to walk around and explore our farm, and take advantage of our photo backdrop for some beautiful, rustic family pictures. 4 Fox Akers is a 60 acre grain farm located near Josephburg, Alberta. We have a big old steel windmill in the pasture, a cute little log cabin and even an airplane hanger that was build many years ago. We have also converted an old horse barn into a cute little home decor boutique called Fox & Willow Home Decor. You may have also heard of Akers Acres, which is a program we run where you can rent 1 acre of land and learn all about farming throughout the growing season!

Come see how excellent local food can be. Dig a carrot, turnip, onion or potato and some garlic fresh from our natural, rich soil. Our small herd of Highland cattle are on pasture and they’re gorgeous, happy animals. They aren’t pets, but they’re really photogenic. We sell sides of beef raised very naturally and quietly.  The walk around the gardens is one of the best experiences we offer, and it takes about half an hour although that varies depending on your interests. In the barn we’ll have garlic hanging to dry along with crafts, photos, books, baskets and spectacular garlic keepers made by Tammy Parks-Legge, an artist from Stony Plain, AB.

This is our 4th Open Farm Days event! We are still working on details but we have a Country Fair theme this year! We have booked a local dynamite performer for the outdoor Concert! More details soon but as always, we will have one fun packed, great event! 10 AM to 4 PM for producer market Saturday, followed by ticketed event for chef dinner and open air concert, 5 to 9 pm We are known for a fun family full day event including a vendor market packed with local food producers, artisans and entertainers followed by our magnificent delicious local food inspired Chef dinner, with a dynamic performance of local singers and songwriters who will complete your evening and day!
