Founded in 2019, Skunkworks Distillery was created by two friends turned business partners with one clear mission: to make exceptional Moonshine.
Both of their families had a history of “dabbling” in Moonshine, and they grew up appreciating the smooth, high-quality ‘Shine reserved for special occasions like weddings. When they couldn’t find that same calibre of product on liquor store shelves, they decided to make it themselves — and share it.
Proudly one of the smallest distilleries in Alberta, Skunkworks crafts every bottle in a 200-litre (53-gallon) still in Calgary. Our spirits are distilled from processed sugar beets sourced in Taber, Alberta. Unlike traditional corn-based moonshine, our neutral spirit is clean, subtly sweet, remarkably smooth, and 100% gluten-free. It’s crafted to be enjoyed straight, yet versatile enough to shine in cocktails.
