Join Bar OA Farms for Alberta Open Farm Days at the place where our farm experiences began. Located at Chicks n Chaps, our original growing location offers visitors a chance to slow down, explore the gardens, and experience the beauty of a working flower farm in bloom.

Stop in for a visit and wander through our flower fields, join a guided garden tour, and learn about the journey from seed to bouquet. Guests can take part in our u-pick flower experience, harvesting their own stems and creating a bouquet to bring home.

While you are here, enjoy a handcrafted beverage from our farm coffee bar and treat yourself to fresh-baked cookies from Adley’s Bakeshop. Whether you love gardening, flowers, photography, or simply spending time outdoors, this is an opportunity to connect with the farm, the flowers, and the people who grow them.

Make Bar OA Farms one stop on your Alberta Open Farm Days adventure and explore the many farms, producers, and rural experiences in the surrounding area. With several local farms opening their doors, visitors can create their own farm tour and discover the stories, products, and experiences that make our region special.

Two Days, Two Locations, Two Unique Experiences

This year, Bar OA Farms will be participating in Alberta Open Farm Days at two locations. Each location offers a different experience and a different part of our farm story.

On Saturday, visit us at our new growing location, Attracted to Apples, where guests can explore our newly established flower fields, learn about our regenerative growing practices, and experience the next chapter of Bar OA Farms alongside Strathcona County’s u-pick apple orchard. Please note that Alberta apples are not ready for harvest until September, so apple picking will not be available during Open Farm Days. We welcome you to return in the fall to enjoy the orchard harvest.

On Sunday, join us at Chicks n Chaps, our original home, for a garden-focused stop featuring flower fields, guided tours, u-pick bouquets, our farm coffee bar, and fresh-baked treats.

Each location has its own unique atmosphere and activities. Choose the date and location that best matches the experience you are looking for, or visit us both days to experience the full story of Bar OA Farms from our beginnings to where we are growing next.
