Join us for Open Farm Days Saturday Aug 19 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Get into nature and agriculture at the edge of the city! Enjoy a tour of the grounds while watching equine demonstrations as we share the history of our facilities and community! Wander through the 104 community gardens and food forest on a walking tour and see the abundance of food grown by local gardeners!
Get close and interactive with small scale farming and urban agricultural tools and equipment and equine (horse) gear!
Learn about  local developments and urban agricultural resources in the community of Beaumont and chat with some local farm producers!
BADAS OFD Activities:
  • Sparkle tattoos and face painting for the kids
  • Equine demonstrations
  • Community garden and food forest tour.
  • Interpretive Wagon ride tour of the fairgrounds
  • Agricultural resources, tools and equipment display.

BADAS hosts several events throughout the year including:

  • Beaumont Town & Country Dayz Parade
  • Beaumont Horse Trials (June 3-4)
  • Free Family Event (Aug 26-27) Rural Roots fair this year showcasing French Canadians, seniors and the francophone community
  • Gerry Patsula Community Gardens and Food Forest
  • Gobeil Heritage Barn and Magnan Heritage House
  • Equine Cross Country Course

Directions:

From the North (e.g. Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Strathcona County, areas north and west of Edmonton) – Exit Anthony Henday onto 50th Street (Secondary 814); travel south to Beaumont. Through Beaumont – Proceed through Beaumont on 50th Street to the intersection that intersects with 50th Avenue (landmark St. Vital Catholic Church on southeast corner of intersection); take 50th Avenue west to the 4-way stop at Rge Rd 243 on 50th Ave. Continue west, now on Twp Rd 505, for 0.75 miles (1.2 kilometers) to the Fairground entrance gate.

Alternate Route from the north edge of Beaumont – At the first set of lights, turn right (west) on Tp Rd 510; proceed west 1 mile (1.6 km) to Rg Rd 243; turn left and proceed south 1 mile (1.6 km) to Tp Rd 505; turn right (west) and proceed 0.75 mi. (1.2 km) to the Fairground entrance gate.

From the West (e.g. Leduc, Devon, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Drayton Valley, Red Deer, etc.) – Exit Highway QE2 or Highway 19 (from Devon) onto Highway 19/Secondary 625; proceed east through Nisku to Rge Rd 244. Turn left and proceed north for 1 mile (1.6 km) to Twp Rd 505; turn right and proceed 0.25 mi. (0.4 km) to the Fairground entrance gate.

From the South or East (e.g. New Sarepta, Camrose, Tofield, Strathcona County, Wetaskiwin, etc.) – Turn left (west) onto Secondary 625 from either Secondary 814 (south of Beaumont) or Highway 21 (east of Beaumont). Proceed to Rge Rd 243, which borders the southwest quadrant of Beaumont. Turn right onto Rge Rd 243 and proceed 1 mile (1.6 km) north to Twp Rd 505; turn left (west) and proceed 0.75 miles (1.2 kilometers) to the Fairground entrance gate.
