Rocky View CountyThe Bottrel General Store & Campground, established in 1901, is one of Alberta’s oldest continuously operating general stores and a living connection to the province’s rural history.
During Alberta Open Farm Days, visitors can explore historic photographs and artifacts, learn about early settlement, ranching, transportation and community life in Bottrel, and discover how rural general stores supported local farm families.
On-site activities will include heritage displays, informal history talks, a children’s colouring area featuring Bottrel scenes, a tour of the store and campground, and refreshments available for purchase at Roza’s Café which is located in the General Store.
