BruderheimThe Bruderheim Agricultural Society preserves the history of our community and provides educational programs related to urban agriculture.
Join us as we tour residential vertical gardens and urban agriculture, native plant gardens at the Interpretive Centre and the community garden.
- View and hear about the changes in farm machinery through the years- from horse drawn equipment to what we have today.
- Learn about the work of a farrier and see first hand how they work on animal hoofs.
- Tours to local greenhouse, pollinator gardens and a vertical urban garden and how chickens are integrated
- Working dog demonstrations will be offered throughout the day.
- A visit to the local museum will take you back in time, learning about the farming as it was in the 1930 – 1960 era.
- Join us at the handicraft market at Walker School and sampling of local foods.
The days activities will end with a “Farm to Table” supper. Tickets are required.
