Eagle Lake Nurseries is a family-owned farm that grows and supplies prairie-grown trees, shrubs and perennials in Wheatland County just east of Strathmore. As an ornamental wholesale nursery we serve commercial landscapers, landscape architects, garden centres, municipalities and home owners across Western Canada. If you’re visiting from a city you have probably lived near or even walked under one of the trees that have grown on our farm.
Eagle Lake Nurseries was founded in 1970 by Tony and Anne Heuver after Tony immigrated to Canada from Holland in the ‘50s. In the late ‘90s their daughter took on leadership and is now CEO of the company leading a team of seasoned experts who are passionate about plants. For over 50 years, Eagle Lake Nurseries has led prairie nursery advancements across all areas of production and remains committed to innovation and sustainability today. The farm is now 1000 acres producing the best selection of healthy plants and trees hardy enough for southern Alberta’s climate.
Our mission is Growing People that Grow Plants – we’re holding a pop-up in person plant sale exclusively for Open Farm Days! We invite you to visit and learn more about plants from our crew. We will also be hosting behind-the-scenes nursery tours throughout the day. You can also purchase plants throughout the year on our website: www.eaglelakenurseries.com
