Come celebrate Open Farm Days with us and our 4th annual Hungarian Mangalitsa Festival, PigStock!

At Eh Farms, we believe in fostering a deeper connection between consumers and their food.

Come on out to the farm and experience firsthand our sustainable farming practices, learn the history about the unique and rare breed of pig we raise, the Red Mangalitsa, hailed as the ‘Kobe Beef of pork’. We are proud to be the first farm to import the Red Wooly Mangalitsa pig into Canada.

As a bonus, we also raise turkeys, meat rabbits and, rare for Western Canada, the Cayuga duck. These additions to our farm showcase our dedication to providing diverse and high-quality meat options.
Our guided wagon ride tour of the farm provides a hands on and educational experience for all ages, anyone curious about where their food comes from.

Our farm will be open to visitors on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from 10:30am to 5pm.

Entrance to the farm is FREE but there will be things to purchase such as food, drinks, experiences or products.

EVENT ACTIVITIES:

• Face painting (11:00 am – 3:00 pm) FREE
• Artisan Farmers Market (Bring Cash)
• A judged cookout competition for the most authentic Hungarian Mangalitsa Pork Goulash
• Hungarian scouts Lunch station (Bring Cash)
• Wagon Rides (Bring Cash)
• Mangalitsa Heaven Meat Shop will be stocked with plenty of Mangalitsa meat products, rendered lard, crackling and eggs to stock your freezer for the summer (Cash or Etransfer).  Bring a cooler for your pork!
• Hungarian dance performances
• Lard rendering demonstrations will be taking place
• Hungarian History booth
