The Red Brick Common has been preserving and promoting the history and culture of Stony Plain and the surrounding area for over 50 years.

During Open Farm Days:

come explore our living museum that reflects the local agricultural history of Stony Plain and Western Canadian pioneer life including a butter-making demonstration in our Settler’s cabin.

  • Try some of our organic preserves grown and prepared on-site.
  • Check out our public art gallery promoting local and Alberta artists.

Don’t forget to pick up a free sample of pie from our pop-up vendor, Fifendekel. Alongside the 1925 Brick Schoolhouse stands the Oppertshauser House, built in 1910.

Tour the home and witness the lifestyle of the early residents of Stony Plain.

Visit and learn about our urban farm and community garden from our Organic Master Gardener students.
