The Trochu Arboretum will be hosting an Open Farm Days Festival.

Our mission is to offer activities that align with “Grow a Farmer” where our the guests will get to experience all aspects of agriculture from Farm to Table.

Join us at the Trochu Arboretum on Saturday, August 16 for an unforgettable Open Farm Days Festival—part of Alberta Open Farm Days provincewide celebrations.

What to Expect:

  • A lively Artisan Market featuring local vendors, handmade goods, and Farm‑to‑table treats (see below for a list of vendors confirmed to date)
  • Live demonstrations and mini ­sessions: enjoy food, drink, and community performances throughout the day (check back in August for a list of presenters
  • Guest presenters and expert talks exploring sustainable gardening, prairie ecosystems, and more.

The Arboretum becomes a hub of community, agriculture, and nature. Discover market stalls, learn from presenters, enjoy live entertainment, and explore beautiful trails. It’s a day to shop local, learn, and celebrate our prairie oasis in a relaxed, welcoming setting

Take the QE2 North to the Olds Exit (340A) Highway 27 East (Sings for Torrington, Trochu and ThreeHills). Turn North on Highway 21 Towards Trochu and turn right on North Road Trochu (Signs for the Arboretum will be on the highway)

From Red Deer:
Take the QE2 South towards Pine Lake exit 384. Take Highway 42 East Towards Pine Lake. Take Highway 21 South towards Trochu. Turn left on North Road Trochu (signs for the Trochu Arboretum will be displayed on the highway)
