There are plenty of opportunities to participate in “Christmas on the Farm” events around Alberta this December. From hayrides, smores, and eating locally made products, it’s a whole different experience than farm visits in the summer, and something you’ll definitely want to check out!
We’ve compiled a list of farm events around the province for you to attend.
Have a very jolly Highland Christmas with Hartell Homestead. Located in the Foothills, it’s a perfect opportunity to visit the farm, see the Highland Cows and do some shopping.
Activities: Photographs with the Highland Cows and goats, Gift baskets being made on-site.
Eh Farms is hosting their Christmas event “Mistletoe and Swine” on

Activities include Farm wagon tour, meeting Santa, fire pit, chicken alley (meet the frizzles), feeding a Red Mangalitsa pig, artisanal Christmas market, hot chocolate, and popcorn, leave with your own Red Mangalitsa Christmas ornament and much more.

Forage and Farm/Stone Wood and Steel
It’s Stone Wood and Steel’s 25th anniversary and they’re celebrating every Saturday in December.

Activities: Live blacksmithing demonstrations, discounts on blacksmithing classes, s’more kits available, farm store open (lots of garlic goodies).
Join Lil Ryley Farm on December 19th for some Christmas fun
Date: December 19 Time: 1-5pm Location: 45465 Range Road 190 Bawlf, Alberta Cost: Free, but please bring a donation for the Camrose Food Bank.
Activities: hayrides, outdoor activities, farmers market, visit with the animals and hang out around the bonfire to warm up.
Wild Ventures Game Farm
Wild Ventures Game Farm Store is excited to announce our first Christmas Event!!
Come visit our country farm store and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate by the bonfire, feed the chickens and longhorns, and drive by our bison herd on the way to the farm! Kids will leave with a special treat as well!
We will be having a horse carriage/sleigh ride on Sunday from 2-4 pm!
