Farm / Northern Pearl’s | Participating in Open Farm Days 2023

Farm Type: Orchard

Region

Central

Town

Red Deer County

This  small rural orchard of 1000 bushes is a small start-up venture and has been a labor of love, (only  7 years in the making)!  You can wander through the rows of mature bushes even though it’s off season.

Come see:

  • Two University of Saskatoon Haskap varieties,
  • Bee hives by Coal Trail Greenhouses
  • A beautiful duck pond surrounded by cattails.
  • So even off season the hearty bushes are beautiful for photos surrounded by a bright field of Canola as a backdrop.
  • As well, two of Alberta’s most talented chefs will be creating memorable sampling of products using Haskaps. This is our first consumer taste testing of  potential products in our future. A true farm to table tasting event. Cast your vote, meet the chef and help us decide which product tastes the very best.

The Northern Pearl’s Orchard is close to Red Deer just at the 67st turnoff from QE2 then a quick left turn onto Burnt Lake Trail. About a kilometer and a half you’ll see the Open Farm Days signs.
