Basil Ranch has been providing fresh herbs and produce to restaurants and grocers since 1996. Owner Vicky took over the reins in 2015 and saw an opportunity to grow the produce we were providing using hydroponics as a solution to food security in our northern climate. Since then we have expanded our growing operations to include mushrooms and flowers. Our Open Farm tour will be at the Flower Farm located at Highfield Regenerative Farm.
Does farming look different in the city?? Come and find out! Explore Highfield Farm during Alberta Open Farm Days and see how things can look a little different in an urban setting. Come for a visit during the day (10:00 am-4:00 pm), and join Basil Ranch from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm for an on-site Farm to Table Soiree (must be purchased in advance).
